Assemble the Army

Thunder boomed for the first time in the dark, forbidding night. It almost sounded like a voice. Flashes of lightning continued to light up the sky, forming an impossible image when seared onto the eyes of onlookers.

That night, only one person stood outdoors to watch the signs. A lone figure dressed in an ephod stood atop a hill, surveying the weather. It was a response to prayers, prayers for advice, for vengeance, for deliverance. And in a way, it frightened him.

In a while, he would have to report to the king. The old ruler was weary of war, for he had fought too many. The news would bring some relief to him, but for the moment, it did not for himself.

In a while, he would have to leave; but it was almost a comfort being out here, so close to his lord. In the state of chaos the known world is, caused by ruthless struggles of power and control, he would only be too glad to leave the earth.

The message brought by the thunder was clear. The Defender has been aroused. The war was his from now on. The enemies of the kingdom would be delivered to the hands of the faithful.

The last battle was beginning. The beginning of the end is near...

Losing you

(for Sarah E.K.)

My eyes
I'd hate to lose them
'Cause I'd still want to read
'Cause I'd still want to see
'Cause I'd still want to hold
Your smile in my eyes.

My hands
I'd hate to lose them
'Cause I'd still want to help
'Cause I'd still want to write
'Cause I'd still want to hold
Your hands in my own.

My tongue
I'd hate to lose it
'Cause I'd still want to taste
'Cause I'd still want to talk
'Cause I'd still want to say
To you, 'I love you.'

My legs
I'd hate to lose them
'Cause I'd still want to walk
'Cause I'd still want to move
'Cause I'd still want to dance
With you one last time.

My mind
I'd love to lose it
'Cause I don't want to think
'Cause I don't want to fear
'Cause I don't want anything
To come between me and you.

My heart
I'd love to lose it
So long as it is cared for
So long as it is treasured
So long as it's safely kept
to be returned by you.

Genesis

Greetings, friend. Yes, you, reading this now. I consider myself as the Prince of Cats not because I am a cat, but because I am a cat person - though, truth be told, many of my traits resemble a dog.

If you want a name, then here is my pen name, my pseudonym: FELONE.
Why such a name, you might ask?

I. "Feline" (noun) is an animal of the cat family, but as an adjective, it can mean "sly, stealthy, or treacherous".
II. "Felon" is a wicked person. I'm not so wicked, but many in the world today seems to be of the opinion that a little wickedness spices up life, or can be done for the greater good. This name mirrors that opinion.
III. "Lone" is short for alone. Yes, I am alone; or, lonely most of the time.

It is my deepest hope that you will follow me as I attempt to transform my thoughts into written words. Who knows, maybe you may be able to learn a thing or two from my wacky experience.

Till the next post.
